Museums on the Long Beach Peninsula

THE WORLD KITE MUSEUM, LONG BEACH, WA

COLUMBIA PACIFIC HERITAGE MUSEUM, ILWACO, WA
Lots of history of the coastal are from Ilwaco to Ocean Park.  There are displays about the local fishermen, oyster farmers, Chinook Tribal families as well as a restored train car from the Clamshell Railroad.  This museum houses a collection of hand-made model train cars built by Arthur Shumway.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 
 
 
 
 
 
CRANBERRY MUSEUM, LONG BEACH, WA
This nice museum provides the opportunity to learn about cranberry cultivation from 1880 to the present.  It is located on a working cranberry farm which includes a research unit.
