Football Fun

Brandon loves football.  He played on the West Valley 8th Grade team and on the Grid Kids.  It's a family affair to support him at the games.  Brandon did take a hard hit at a school game and suffered a severe concussion.  He was out of school for about a week and then went back 1/2 days for a while.   It took a while for him to heal but he is doing great now.

Celebrating Coralee's 70th Birthday

Coralee, Teri's sister, turned 70 on October 26, 2013.  She was celebrated with a surprise birthday party at the apartment complex where she and Lance live.  There were high school friends and family as well as her special friend, Beth, who flew in from California.  Tia coordinated the potluck and invitations.  Teri made a collage of photos as a gift to Coralee and the photos here are some on them.  Happy Birthday, Coralee!!!
This is one of the few pictures of Teri and all of her siblings.  From left to right, bottom row - Kay, Teri and Coralee, top row - Jeff, Greg and Doug.  This was probably taken in the 1970's since that was the only time Teri had shorter hair.  The three sisters picture was taken in the late 1960's.

Happy Fall Y'all

There is something special about every season.  Our trees and shrubs display their fall colors.
This hydrangea bush is so different than any other I have had and the barberry bushes are gorgeous in their fall reds.
Some close up pictures of the barberry leaves.
The trees are amazing in their different golds and reds.  The ornamental maple turns red and then gold as does the snowball tree.  The willow tree is more yellow than gold.  The last tree (species unknown to us) is fluffy gold.  This tree has the most unusual blooms in the spring.  The fluffy pink blooms appear before the leaves.

Kathleen Playing High School Soccer

Kathleen (#10) played soccer for the West Valley High School Junior Varsity team.  The team had mostly wins.  In Germany, they don't have school sponsored sports so this was a lot of fun for Kathleen.
Kathleen played forward so she got in on the action by the goal.  She is a speed demon.
