A nice wind storm really did a number on the Battle's roof. Seems the glue on these shingles was bad and never bonded. After much frustration and several experiences similar to this, the roof had to be professionally repaired.

Lindsey's 16th Birthday Celebrations
Guess who turned 16 on April 11th, 2013. That would be Lindsey!
During dinner at Creekside, Mike asked Lindsey to go outside to get something. Then he handed her the keys and told her to find her car. Smart little girl started pressing the alarm button and found it quickly. The car was full of balloons and they flew out the window when Lindsey jumped in. What a very exciting time!
After dinner, there was dessert at the Yogurt Shack. Here's the Battle family enjoying the special day.
There was also an open house for friends in Yakima on Friday following the birthday. As you can see, everyone enjoyed this party.
A scrapbook of letters and notes from family and friends was so special. What an awesome keepsake!

On Saturday, we made a trip to the West side for more celebration. The weather took everyone by surprise. Snow on the pass and rain on I-5. Too much party for the girls? They started out perky but had to rest up for the evening festivities!
Sixteen years old and still loving Build-A-Bears. Lindsey had two friends from Yakima share her fun day. Elecia and Rachel are having fun, too!
More family gathered at the Cheesecake Factory (Lindsey's favorite restaurant ever) in the evening for laughter and good food.
