Brett and Kelly met us at Long Beach for a couple days of clam digging. They were really prepared with their chest waders and clam guns!
The waves were huge on Sunday. We would see them coming and think we could stand and wait for them to come in and go out. That's what we usually do so we can stay where the clams are showing. Not today - we were taken by surprise by the size of about every 4th wave. Teri poured a quart of water out of her hip boots and was soaked. Only got a limit between the four of us. Thankfully, Saturday's dig was a limit for all.
Yep, fried clams for dinner.
Brett and Kelly stayed at the Lighthouse Inn. Cute and clean.
We had an awesome lunch on Sunday at the 42nd St. Bistro followed by dessert at Scoopers.
