Oldies but Goodies

The Oldies but Goodies aren't these two handsome guys whose birthday's we were celebrating.  Their birthdays are- Bill's on June 1st and Mike's on June 6th

The Oldies but Goodies describes the fun gift that Bill received from the Battles.  A whole bunch of CD's from the past including ones from Waylon Jennings, Porter Wagoner, Johnny Horton, Don Williams, Jim Reeves, Oak Ridge Boys, Mel Tillis and Johnny Cash.  Lindsey was rolling her eyes when we played Johnny Horton's album - North to Alaska, Sink the Bismark, etc. and I think she was getting ready to make her getaway when she stood up behind her Grandpa.

Now this beautiful lady doing the flower arranging doesn't look like she was too traumatized when she had to listen to her Dad's 8 tracks of the above artists on a 4-week trip to Alaska in 1979.
