California Mini-Reunion

Teri's brother, Jeff, arranged a reunion of the Moeller siblings for June.  We met at a Thousand Trails park at the Lake of the Springs, California on June 1st.  Bill and Teri and Coralee and Lance traveled most of the way together with Johanna and Marshall joining us for the night in Roseburg, OR.  Kay and Lee were planning to make the trip also but Kay was recovering from pneumonia and felt it best to rest.  Missed them.  Jeff and Elaine camped in their motor home and the rest of us rented trailers at the park.
Jeff and Bill barbequed something for dinner every night - ribs, fish, chicken, steak.  We always gathered for dinner every evening after days of swimming, fishing, relaxing or running to town.  Elaine always got the dinner space set up and ready for all of us to enjoy.  We had hot weather most days so we enjoyed the cool evenings together.
Marshall was the only youngster in the group but he was able to entertain himself and we enjoyed his company.
We had great meals and enjoyed the dinner conversation, too.
There was lots of wildlife in the park.
Bill, Kevin and Marshall spent some time fishing and Kevin caught these catfish that we enjoyed for dinner.
We left our little reunion on Saturday, June 8, and headed home.  The drive through central Oregon was beautiful.  The scenery was amazing.  It was a nice day for our travels.
We drove through lots of rural areas with small towns.

Lots of green pastures and farms.

Liar's Cove on Conconully Lake

We love going back to Liar's Cove on Conconully Lake for a week each year.  We have gone in May for the last 3 years but have also have been there in June. We make our reservations for the next year before we leave.
What a beautiful evening for fishing!  Bill looks relaxed and happy!
The wildlife is always fun to watch.  The deer weren't very far away but they were tempted by something to eat.  Mama Duck had 9 little ducklings on an outing.  How funny!
Yep, that's snow on them thar hills.  The weather was cool and rainy most of the week but Bill, Lee and Teri still caught some nice trout.  Bill and Lee rented a boat and fished from it and from the bank near our trailers.  Kay came with a cold that later turned to pneumonia.  She was really sick but hung out in the trailer trying to get better.
Wouldn't be camping without a camp fire!!!

Scooter Mama

What a cool Mother's Day gift - a scooter for Becky.  She always has a smile on her face when she is on this special ride.  She rides it to work when she can.  How fun!

Hippie Chicks - 2013

This is the second year that Teri and Becky walked the Hippie Chicks.  Lindsey joined us and all three generations had fun.  Lindsey is chilling out at the motel which was the headquarters for the event.  They really catered to us.
Pictured are Becky, Lindsey and Teri and Lindsey and Becky.  We walked the quarter marathon this year because Teri was recovering from dehydration and vertigo (Yikes).  We all did great!!
Becky's friend, Lynn May, also did the Hippie Chicks event as well as other friends from the West Valley Nazarene Church.
Ahh!  The finish line - the best site ever!!
