Getting started on the roof project. First was tearing the old roofing off. We had the dumpster delivered on Thursday and it wasn't 15 minutes before Bill was on the roof getting things done.
Lots of help on Saturday, 9/11, for the tear down of shop roof and 1 side of the house. Mike Hedrik, Terry Alapetri, Bill, Joey (Brandon's friend), Mike and Bill are working on the shop. Go, girl power, Lindsey! I think she was the only lady who went on the roof. By the end of Saturday, we were ready for new roofs. Our neighbor, Rick, and Jordan helped Bill put the shingles on the roof with Rick's kubota tractor with a bucket to be ready for the crew coming next Saturday.
Working on the shop roof were Kyle, Jordan, Bill and Brett.
Mike and Jason worked on the house roof with some help from Kyle when he wasn't working on the shop. Love these silhoutte pictures. What amazing workers!! All of them. The ladies - Becky, Courtney, Kelly and Teri kept the crew fed and hydrated. Brandon got a pass on roofing because he broke his leg during the first game of the season.
Jason"s favorite truck had a little problem on the trip over to help with roofing. They broke down on the west side of White Pass. They were headed to Becky's so we got the call just before midnight that they had not arrived. Becky and I called law enforcement between Yakima and McKenna to ask about accidents. We called hospitals. Mike decided he was going to look for them and not wanting him to go alone, Bill went, too. They called us when they found them. Courtney and Megan were taking a nap in the back seat knowing someone would come looking for them.
Bill and I took the load of hay home for them and Courtney and a mechanic came back the next day to get the truck home.
The roofing project was topped off with new gutters. They look really great and work well. Thanks to RainFlo Gutters for the great job installing them.
